Learning Support Assistant – Secondary School in Maidstone

Are you an empathetic and energetic Learning Support Assistant ready to champion students who thrive with a little extra support? A fantastic secondary school in Maidstone is calling for a committed LSA to join their inclusive and forward-thinking team.

Contract: Full time, long term – starting ASAP

Salary: £95 - £105 per day

 Key Responsibilities


  • Provide tailored support to students with special educational needs, ensuring equal access to learning
  • Assist with classroom activities, reinforcing learning objectives and encouraging student engagement
  • Support students emotionally, socially, and academically within a secondary setting
  • Work closely with teaching staff to adapt lesson materials and classroom strategies
  • Help track and report student progress in collaboration with SENCO and wider staff


Qualifications & Experience


  • Experience working in a school environment (secondary preferred)
  • A strong understanding of the challenges faced by students with SEN
  • Good communication, resilience, and a dash of creativity
  • A relevant qualification (e.g. CACHE, Level 2/3 Support Teaching and Learning) is desirable but not essential
  • A positive, proactive mindset and a genuine interest in young people’s development
