Learning and Development Specialist

  • 37.5 hours per week – 1 pm finish on a Friday

To be successful in this position, you will have/be;

 

Training Program Development:

 

  • Design and develop comprehensive training programs aligned with organisational goals and objectives
  • Create engaging and interactive learning materials, including presentations, case studies, and simulations
  • Establish metrics to assess the effectiveness of learning programs

 

Delivery of Training:

 

  • Conduct training sessions for various levels of management, utilising a variety of instructional techniques and formats
  • Adapt training methods to meet the diverse learning styles and needs of participants

 

Skills Development:

 

  • Provide personalised coaching and mentoring to leaders and middle management to enhance their management and leadership skills
  • Facilitate workshops on topics such as communication, decision-making, conflict resolution, and strategic thinking

 

Needs Assessment:

 

  • Collaborate with stakeholders to conduct needs assessments and identify gaps in management and leadership skills
  • Analyse training needs and propose relevant solutions to address identified gaps

 

Evaluation and Improvement:

 

  • Implement evaluation mechanisms to measure the effectiveness of training programs
  • Collect feedback from participants and stakeholders to continuously improve and enhance training content and delivery
  • Assist in updating and implementing Competence Frameworks
  • Stay abreast of industry trends, best practices, and innovations in management and leadership development
  • Integrate relevant advancements into training programs to ensure their continued relevance and effectiveness

 

Skills and experience required

  • Bachelor’s degree in human resources, education, or a related field
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in a learning and development role, preferably in the aviation or   manufacturing industry
  • Strong knowledge of adult learning principles and training methodologies
  • Experience creating and delivering engaging training content, both in-person and online
  • Proven ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams and build relationships with key stakeholders
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
