Location: Cheltenham

Salary: £30,000 - £32,000

Contract: Permanent

Role Overview – Junior Engineer

Our client is looking for a motivated and enthusiastic Junior Engineer to join their growing team. This is an excellent opportunity for recent graduates, early-career professionals, recent apprentices, or individuals with a strong interest in pursuing a career in engineering to gain valuable hands-on experience in a dynamic environment.

Key Responsibilities – Junior Engineer

Respond to and manage daily technical inquiries, ensuring prompt and accurate resolutions.
Provide clear and concise updates on issue status and progress.
Escalate complex or unresolved issues to senior engineers for further investigation.
Maintain accurate records of inquiries, resolutions, and escalations.
Contribute to the development and maintenance of knowledge base articles and FAQs.
Conduct testing and validation of products according to established procedures.
Conduct fault-finding and troubleshooting to identify and resolve product defects.
Document testing results and findings accurately.
Assist in the development and implementation of testing protocols.
Assist in the maintenance of testing equipment and component inventory.
Communicate clearly and professionally with colleagues and stakeholders.
Participate in team meetings and contribute to problem-solving and brainstorming sessions.
Adhere to all safety protocols and procedures.
Key Qualifications & Requirements – Junior Engineer

Bachelor's degree in Engineering (e.g., Electrical, Mechanical, Computer, or related field), equivalent practical experience, completion of an engineering apprenticeship, or a demonstrated strong interest and aptitude for engineering.
A natural curiosity and a proven ability to learn and apply technical skills.
Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
A proactive and detail-oriented approach.
Basic understanding of engineering principles and practices.
Willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies.
Basic experience with testing equipment and tools is a plus.
Experience supporting global teams is a plus.
