IoT Systems Engineer job vacancy at an award winning engineering manufacturer. This newly created IoT Systems Engineerjob has a focus on cutting-edge cloud-connected systems and embedded technologies. You’ll shape our IoT and cloud strategy, collaborate with suppliers, support field trials, and help our customers through smart, connected solutions. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with a university degree and 2–3 years of relevant experience.

About the Role

·Liaise with suppliers on cloud technologies, improvements, and security.

·Contribute to the development of our cloud and embedded systems strategy.

·Implement telemetry events and alarms to enhance customer operations.

·Propose hardware solutions aligned with strategic goals.

·Develop and maintain best practice standards for network and cloud systems.

·Improve UI and backend systems for connected solutions.

·Support field trials and customer deployments.

·Scope and specify sensors and actuators for custom applications.

£40,000-£50,000 (negotiable) salary 6% employer pension contribution, 25 days off (+BHols) & company bonus of roughly 5%.

Key Skills

·Experience with telemetry systems (events/alarms).

·Working knowledge of Azure, AWS, or other cloud platforms.

·Hands-on experience with IoT hardware design (Routers, SoMs, Antennas, RTOS).

·Familiarity with IoT communication protocols (MQTT, HTML, LoRaWAN).

·Understanding of internet protocols and cloud-based communication.

·Strong grasp of IoT security requirements and best practices.

·Ability to engage with suppliers and scope future IoT projects.

·Knowledge of sensors, actuators, and customer telemetry needs.

£40,000-£50,000 (negotiable) salary 6% employer pension contribution, 25 days off (+BHols) & company bonus of roughly 5%. The job is Monday to Friday (phone number removed)pm. This is daytime working (there are no revolving shifts and no night working).

·Degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.

·2–3 years of relevant industry experience.
