Over the last 12 months we have made great progress in developinga new generation of productsthat will use cutting-edge technologies to drive our mission to transform eye care and are now looking for4 x Integration and Test Engineersto continue the momentum, bringing your experience and ideas with you.

You and the role

We would love it if you came from a medical devices, automotive or defence/aerospace background as these industries translate well to what we do and how we work.

The role includes, but is not limited to the planning, coordination, performance evaluation, bench marking, and documentation activities related to the Systems and Module level integration of complex ophthalmic imaging Systems.

Day to day you will plan and carry out System and Module integration and test activities in support of new product development. Through collaboration with the wider team, you will identify what the requirements are for integration and testing, continuously gathering data to support the overall project.

You will also play a key part in debugging and route cause analysis for the issues during the product development life cycle. 

You will be no stranger to working cross-functionally and be able to adapt your style depending on who you’re dealing with in the business. We are lucky enough to have the support of our parent company, Nikon, and several stakeholders from Japan are committed to this project so you will have ample opportunity to make connections with the wider global team.

Being comfortable with Agile methodologies will be a big plus as you can expect to be involved with daily stand-ups and other Agile ceremonies.

From an educational perspective, you will be degree qualified in Engineering Physics or a related scientific/technical discipline.

Experience of defining and completing integration of one or more of Electronical/ Optical/ Mechanical Systems/Sub-systems would be ideal along with test experience/ automation of test processes for such systems.
