Job Title: Technical Sales

Location: Ipswich, United Kingdom

Pay Range/Details: £35,000 - £50,000 DOE

Contract Type: Permanent

Omega is working in partnership with a well-established and fast-growing engineering components supplier to recruit a Hydraulic Technical Sales Representative for their Ipswich-based operation.

This is an excellent opportunity for a driven and technically minded sales professional with experience in hydraulic products or engineering components to join a dynamic team and support the company's ambitious growth across the UK and Ireland.

Key Responsibilities -Technical Sales

Develop strong customer relationships by providing expert technical advice and tailored product solutions.

Manage customer enquiries from both office-based and field settings, ensuring high-quality support and responsiveness.

Collaborate with suppliers and partners across Europe and Asia to address quality issues and customer applications.

Deliver accurate quotations and product recommendations based on in-depth technical understanding.

Maintain up-to-date and detailed customer information within the company CRM system.

Contribute to the development of bespoke solutions and offer after-sales support services where required.

Support Directors and senior management with ad hoc tasks and contribute to the overall business strategy.

Qualifications & Requirements - Technical Sales

 Previous experience in hydraulic sales or a technical sales role within an engineering sector.

Excellent interpersonal skills with the confidence to build lasting customer relationships.

A proactive and hands-on attitude with strong problem-solving abilities.

Sales-focused with a high level of motivation and enthusiasm.

Strong attention to detail and capable of working independently.

Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel & Outlook essential).

Degree in Mechanical Engineering or Business is beneficial but not essential.
