Our client has an opportunity for a HSE Advisor to join them on an FTC for 12 months. You will be monitoring the delivery of effective HSE, business systems, risk management and resilience on multiple projects.

Role: HSE Advisor - LPS
Location: Glasgow. The role will be homebased with travel as required
Hours: Full Time
Salary: £45,000 Pro Rata
Start Date: ASAP

What you'll be doing:

Promote and influence HSEQ activity and behaviour throughout the business.
Provide advice on HSEQ matters and good practice, so that Client, business, corporate and legal requirements are met in an effective and appropriate manner, both on site, and in the office.
Advise and support site managers in the production of an HSE plan, so that best practice is consistently applied (CDM2015).
Create a programme of audit and inspection to HSE requirements for sites and offices, both within the business and with suppliers and subcontractors.
Undertake internal audits, and report findings, make recommendations and track these to a conclusion, maintaining version control and ensuring there is effective record keeping.
Manage the local BMS requirements for the 3 x ISO standards relating to 9001, 14001 and 45001
Chair monthly HSE meetings with site personnel and management.
HSE contact for escalations.
Ensure that accidents, incidents and near misses are reported and escalated appropriately.
Support wider HSE priorities and demands as requiredRequirements:

Circa 5 years' experience in Health and Safety
Experience in Construction, Electrical/Mechanical installation preferred
Solid understanding of CDM - Construction Design Management Regulations 2015.
Experience in Accident Investigation
NEBOSH General or NEBOSH Construction Certificate.
CSCS card:
Experience in health and safety auditing, risk management, governance and business processes within the construction or outsourcing sector.
Ability to provide competent HSE guidance, to all levels.
Advanced MS Excel Skills
A key element is that they must have exposure to/understanding of Construction (Design and Management) Regulations 2015.
