Homologation Engineer

The company is involved with the design, development and manufacture of a range of diesel, hybrid and hydrogen powered engines for various applications and sell them Worldwide.

They are looking for a senior Homologation / Regulatory affairs / compliance engineer to work with trade associations (government bodies, etc) on new engine emissions legislation and support the company in order to enable the development and production of engines to meet regional, environmental and governmental legislative requirements.

This is an important role that will influence the design and development of current and future conventional and hydrogen engine systems.

Required: Homologation Engineer

  • Ideally a degree in an engineering, science, environmental etc.

  • Strong understanding of engine systems, combustion systems e.g. ICE, Hydrogen, Hybrid etc and either design, testing, emissions, research, aftertreatment, quality or compliance, approvals, conformance , homologation etc

  • Good eye for detail and an analytical mindset.

  • Strong communication skills (written and verbal).

  • Able to disseminate and communicate regulatory requirements and standards around new emissions to engineering teams

  • Applicants from homologation, certification and / or compliance backgrounds would of course be of great interest. However, applications are welcomed from those that share similar interests and attributes (e.g. Safety Engineering, Type Approvals, engine / emissions Testing, Quality Assurance, etc.)

  • Experience of working within an engine product development environment (e.g. automotive, aerospace nuclear, marine etc) would be very useful.

  • The role is aligned to senior engineer level within the business, offering opportunities to progress to Principal Engineer

    Location: The Homologation / Senior Regulatory Affairs Engineer role is office based in Derbyshire.

    Relocation assistance can be provided. The roles are commutable from Rocester, Stoke on Trent, Derby, Nottingham, Birmingham, Uttoxeter, Stafford and Burton
