Driver Hire Hemel & Watford are currently looking to recruit an experienced HGV Driver, with Category C entitlement on a Monday – Friday Day Shift pattern.

This will be a 10 week Temp to Perm role so will end up as a full time job if you are suited.


Salary: Starts at £37,500 per annum BASIC and then any Overtime will be paid at £22 per hour.


For the first 10 weeks you will be paid via our Umbrella Agency (Pay Parity to the annual salary) and then once you go full time with our customer you will be paid via PAYE.


Shifts – standard hours are usually around 6am- 3pm. OT available


Suitable candidates will have the following:


A full and valid UK driving licence, with CAT C entitlement.

No more than 6 points (minor offences only).

Current and valid CPC and Digi-Tacho cards.

Previous HGV driving experience (Minimum 6 months)

Appropriate PPE (Safety shoes & Hi-viz).


Ideally LONDON DRIVING EXPERIENCE is required


Responsibilities:

– Safely and efficiently operate a truck to transport goods to designated locations

– Follow all traffic laws and regulations while driving

– Communicate with dispatchers and customers to coordinate delivery schedules

– Adhere to company policies and procedures regarding transportation, safety, and delivery protocols


Skills:

– Excellent driving skills and knowledge of traffic laws and regulations

– Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately

– Ability to work independently with minimal supervision

– Good communication skills for interacting with dispatchers, customers, and other drivers on the road


BONUS: If you are FORS, FLT OR ADR Trained this is a BONUS.
