Main duties of the job

Salary:Marie Curie Clinical Pay Scale Band 2 (aligned with AFC) £23,970 per annum + Enhancement

Hours: Full Time hours per week

Contract Type:Permanent

Location:West Glamorgan

This is an exciting opportunity for a Healthcare Assistant to join our team and help deliver care and support to people with a life limiting illnesses whilst also offering vital emotional support for their families. What we are looking for:

Relevant community or palliative care experience S/NVQ Level 2/3 qualification or an equivalent certificate/diploma or willing to work towards this Willing to register with Social Care Wales Emotional strength and the ability to work on your own are crucial, though we will of course provide excellent on-going training and support Licence allowing you to drive in the UK and access to a vehicle that can be insured for business use are essential

With experience of End of Life care, you're ready and able to make a real difference. Working without close supervision, you'll have the opportunity to use your own initiative in line with the patient's established care plan. You'll be required to carry out a range of care duties including helping patients meet their hygiene needs, monitoring symptoms, assisting with medications and keeping detailed records and emotional support to the patient and their families.
