Our client, based in Abingdon and working in the semiconductor industry, is looking for a Graduate Applications Engineer to join their expanding team. In this role, the Applications Engineer will be involved in a variety of tasks, from supporting the Marketing team with sample testing and data analysis, to directly assisting customers with technical support and product demonstrations. This position offers a unique opportunity to work with cutting-edge technology in the semiconductor industry, where you'll use your problem-solving skills and work autonomously to contribute to the development of innovative solutions.

Key Responsibilities – Graduate Applications Engineer

Work with the Marketing team to help develop the business by running samples, presenting data, writing reports, giving presentations at conferences, and other activities.
Help customers with collecting data and developing methods, learning about their applications and sharing this knowledge with the team.
Present the product and its results to customers in a clear and professional way.
Be the main contact for customers regarding application-related questions and support.

Qualifications & Requirements – Graduate Applications Engineer

Master’s degree in physical sciences, Engineering discipline or equivalent
Capability to communicate complex scientific information.
Capability to work in multi-functional teams, communicating ideas, and solving problems.
Ability to travel globally.
Sales support experience, ideally working with analytical instrumentation.
Experience in communicating and supporting customers.
Experience in managing characterisation and demonstration activities for metrology equipment suppliers.
