Our client is a state-of-the-art aerospace facility that has been supplying complex fabricated and machined exhaust assemblies to the Aerospace industry. It is a leading supplier of civil exhaust systems to the aerospace market.
The role:
Furnace Operative
You will be required to start this position working a days only shift pattern until full completion of training. Once working unsupervised, the role will change to a 3-shift pattern, weekly rotation of days, afternoons and nights.
Salary: £28,335.29 + 17% shift allowance once shifts start (£33,152.29)

Key Responsibilities:
To Vacuum, heat treat and Air furnace components to customer specification by working to Routing instructions, Technique Sheets and Standard Operations Procedures (SOP’s). To be able to operate the process bay safety clean /degrease lines across all product ranges by working to Routing instructions, Technique Sheets and Standard Operations Procedures (SOP’s). To be able to set & operate press shop equipment including 150-ton power press and Hydraulic press/drop head press by working to Routing instructions, Technique Sheets and Standard Operations Procedures (SOP’s). To have the ability to understand and interpret Customer Specifications and Technical drawings. To ensure all operations are completed conforming to route card requirements and logged correctly in accordance with NADCAP requirements. To highlight/report any non-conforming parts through Hotspot process. Ownership of AM checks and ensuring all calibration checks are completed when planned.
Skills and requirements:
At Least 2 years' experience working in the Aerospace industry with knowledge of AS9100 requirements Power press certificate Experience in press shop including drop press/150 press/Hydraulic press Experience of running aerospace Vac/Air furnaces
