About Zelt

Zelt is on a mission to rebuild how organisations run. Our all-in-one platform helps modern companies manage their people operations across payroll, onboarding, time off, IT provisioning and more, in a seamless and automated way.

We are the only platform on G2 named a Global Momentum Leader across HR, Payroll and IT, and we are just getting started. Our product is technically ambitious, structurally different from anything else on the market, and already trusted by forward-thinking companies.

Why this role matters:

As a Fullstack Engineer at Zelt you will help build features end to end, from implementation to testing and launch. You will work closely with senior engineers who will guide architecture decisions while you focus on delivering high-quality code and learning how to scale a SaaS product.

This is the ideal moment to join: Zelt has product-market fit and strong backing, yet it is still early enough that your work will influence the platform’s growth and user experience. You will see your code reach customers quickly and have visible impact.

You will join a lean, product-focused team where your ideas count, your growth is supported, and your work helps shape a platform used every day by modern companies.

What you will do:

  • Implement and maintain features across the stack using React, TypeScript, Node.js, NestJS, PostgreSQL and AWS
  • Collaborate closely with senior engineers, product and design to deliver well-scoped features from start to finish
  • Write clean, maintainable, well-tested code and follow engineering best practices
  • Contribute to improving developer workflows and tooling (GitHub, GitHub Actions, Slack, Linear, Sentry, SolarWinds)
  • Learn about and contribute to infrastructure (Docker, AWS ECS, RDS, S3, SES, CloudFront, CDK) with support from senior teammates
  • Participate in code reviews, share knowledge and grow your skills while supporting a collaborative team culture

What we are looking for:

  • Commercial experience delivering fullstack applications in a product-driven environment
  • Proficiency with React, TypeScript, Node.js and PostgreSQL, with exposure to AWS-hosted services
  • Familiarity with common developer tools and workflows such as GitHub, GitHub Actions, Slack, Linear, Sentry, SolarWinds
  • Eagerness to learn from senior teammates, share knowledge, and grow technical depth
  • Strong communication skills and a collaborative, problem-solving mindset

Nice to have:

  • Experience working in a startup or scale-up environment
  • Interest in CI/CD, observability and scaling infrastructure
  • Enthusiasm for improving performance, code quality and developer experience

Why join Zelt:

  • Join a high-growth SaaS company backed by the investors of Notion, Spotify and Airbnb at exactly the right stage: proven product, strong momentum and still small enough that every engineer shapes the platform.
  • Grow your skills alongside experienced senior engineers while taking on meaningful projects early in your career.
  • Work with a diverse, international team that ships fast and delivers features customers use every day.
  • Enjoy direct impact and visibility for your work instead of being one of hundreds in a big engineering org.
  • Be part of a culture that values curiosity, technical excellence and continuous learning, with clear opportunities to step up into senior responsibilities as you develop.

Your work at Zelt will not disappear into the background – it will help define how modern companies run their people operations.

Space Industry Recruitment Trends 2025 (UK): What Job Seekers Need To Know About Today’s Hiring Process

Summary: UK space‑sector hiring has shifted from pedigree‑first screening to capability‑driven evaluation across the full stack—spacecraft systems, payload/RF, flight software, GNC/ADCS, propulsion, structures/thermal, AIT (assembly–integration–test), mission/ground operations, reliability/radiation, and compliance (ECSS, export control). Employers want proof you can build, test, operate and scale space systems safely and economically. This guide explains what’s changed, what to expect in interviews & how to prepare—especially for satellite/spacecraft engineers, payload & RF/MM‑wave, flight & ground software, GNC/ADCS, power/thermal, AIT/test, mission ops, data/EO, and space product/TPM roles. Who this is for: Systems engineers, payload/RF engineers, flight software & FDIR, GNC/ADCS, power/thermal/structures, propulsion, AIT/test, reliability/radiation, QA/compliance, ground segment/cloud, mission operations, EO/data processing, and product/programme managers targeting roles in the UK space ecosystem.

Why Space Careers in the UK Are Becoming More Multidisciplinary

The UK’s space sector is growing fast — from satellite systems and Earth observation to satellite communications, space robotics, propulsion, space data analytics, and mission operations. But the nature of space work is changing. Projects involving satellites, launch systems, space robotics and ground infrastructure are now embedded in regulation, public perception, human interaction and cross-disciplinary design. Space careers in the UK used to be dominated by engineers, astrophysicists, systems analysts and telemetry experts. Today, they increasingly demand fluency not only in aerospace, software, electronics & data, but also in law, ethics, psychology, linguistics & design. After all, space systems operate under treaties, privacy constraints, public scrutiny, international collaborations and human interfaces. In this article, we explore why space careers in the UK are becoming more multidisciplinary, how those allied fields intersect with space work, and what job-seekers & employers must do to thrive in this evolving cosmos.

UK Space Team Structures Explained: Who Does What in a Modern Space Department

The UK space sector is rapidly expanding. With growth in satellite design, Earth observation, communications, launch systems, space science, downstream applications, and regulatory and operational services, there’s rising demand for skilled professionals across many disciplines. Building a high-impact space organisation requires well-defined team structures, clear roles, strong collaboration, and alignment across engineering, science, operations, regulation, and commercial functions. If you are applying for roles via UKSpaceJobs.co.uk or hiring into your company, this guide will help you understand the principal roles you’ll find in a space team, how they interact during mission lifecycles, what skills UK employers expect, salary norms, common challenges, and best practice for structuring space teams that succeed.
