Overview

Doncaster / Lasham – Permanent, full-time (Mon-Fri). Salary DOE. 2Excel Aviation Ltd is an industry leader in specialised and innovative solutions for aviation’s most complex challenges. We are seeking a full-time Fleet Support Engineer to join our CAMO team based in Doncaster, reporting to the Fleet Support Manager. The role offers a hybrid mix of working at home, in the office, and off-site in support of maintenance and modification programmes.

Candidates should have demonstrable knowledge and experience in a CAMO, Airworthiness or Technical Support related role, with strong IT and communication skills.

The role’s key responsibilities are described below.

Responsibilities
  • Reviewing and assessing Airworthiness Directives (ADs) and Service Bulletins (SBs) related to avionics.
  • Supporting maintenance teams with effective troubleshooting of avionic issues and defects.
  • Liaising with avionic Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs) as required.
  • Controlling aircraft software status and updates, and managing the aircraft software library.
  • Overseeing configuration settings and ensuring configuration control for avionic systems.
  • Managing avionic component repairs and tracking SB/modification status.
  • Handling subscriptions for Navigation data, EGPWS data, and other avionic services.
  • Monitoring stock holdings and support contracts for avionic systems.
  • Tracking reliability of avionic components and systems.
  • Supporting avionic upgrades and modification programmes.
  • Monitoring future avionic requirements and ensuring compliance actions are met.
  • Supporting integration and interface with Mission systems.
  • Collaborating closely with Mission system engineers.
  • Assisting with MEL/IDE compilation.
Qualifications and requirements

Candidates must have strong understanding and experience working within CAMO/Technical Support/Technical Services teams with experience using Garmin G1000, Collins Proline 21, and 737NG Avionics suite.

Applicants must be able to demonstrate Right to Work in the UK. Applicants must also be able to successfully pass a company sponsored Counter Terrorism Check (CTC) and/or Security Check (SC) Clearance. A full UK driving license is required.
