Our client is a respected professional services firm based in Exeter, offering a supportive and collaborative working culture. They are seeking an experienced Finance Assistant to join their finance team. This role is ideal for someone with a background in legal or professional services who enjoys working in a detail oriented environment with a focus on accuracy, efficiency, and problem-solving. 



The Role: 



As a Finance Assistant, you’ll play an important role in managing billing processes, resolving complex financial queries, and supporting smooth day-to-day operations across the finance function. You’ll work within a small, friendly team, providing accurate and timely billing support while ensuring client satisfaction through attention to detail and proactive communication. 



Responsibilities of the Finance Assistant include:  




  • Manage billing and e-billing processes, including producing credit notes and handling high-level queries. 
  • Assign payers, reconcile accounts, and ensure accurate client billing. 
  • Collaborate with colleagues to maintain efficient financial processes. 
  • Support the implementation and use of new automated finance systems. 


Requirements of the Finance Assistant include:  




  • Previous experience in a billing or finance assistant role, ideally within a law firm or professional services environment. 
  • Confident in using e-billing systems and managing complex billing queries. 
  • Strong attention to detail and excellent problem-solving skills. 
  • Comfortable learning and working with new software and automated systems. 
  • Have 2+ year's experience in a similar role.

  • Hybrid working after probation period 2 days in the office, 3 days from home.
