F&B SupervisorJob Description

Thanks to your warm hospitality and excellent hosting skills, our guests will enjoy a wonderful experience in our Lounge Bar and a terrific start to their day with our breakfast. As well as coordinating and supervising the bar and breakfast team, in collaboration with the department manager, you will be responsible for:

  • Looking after guests in the Motel One Lounge and during breakfast service, and providing smooth, efficient and guest focused service
  • Preparing the breakfast buffet/lounge bar for service; closing service
  • Following cleaning schedules to ensure expected food hygiene and presentation standards are maintained
  • Ordering food and beverages for the Service areas and assisting with stock taking at the end of the month
  • Contributing to achieving the Motel One Food & Beverage sales budget
  • Shared responsibility for producing duty rosters that meet the business needs
  • Assisting with the recruitment, induction and ongoing training/coaching of employees

Qualifications

Whether you are a hospitality professional or changing careers – you will fit in here! Because personality and hosting skills are our priority. You should also:

  • Have professional experience in the hospitality/catering industry or be an experienced team supervisor in a customer service setting looking for a change of career
  • Enjoy developing employees – and ideally have some supervisory experience
  • Be open and communicative and have hosting skills, as well as a passion for the hotel industry
  • Be flexible and creative and have an excellent sense of quality, even in stressful situations
  • Be a team player and willing to provide assistance across departments – we achieve our results together
