On behalf of our client, a leading Aerospace & Defence manufacturing business, we are actively recruiting a Facilities Technician to join their team in Manchester. The ideal candidate will have previous site facilities maintenance experience and be confident overseeing security, health & safety, and contractor management.

Role

• Manage site security and access, including the allocation of keys and security fobs.
  
  
• Act as Fire Marshal, ensuring training is up to date and maintaining compliance.
  
  
• Oversee First Aid provisions, ensuring adequate site cover and training compliance.
  
  
• Coordinate fire extinguisher servicing, annual fire alarm and smoke alarm testing.
  
  
• Maintain and update building schematics to support site operations.
  
  
• Ensure Risk Assessments and Method Statements (RAMS) are in place for contractors.
  
  
• Act as the primary contact for site security providers (ADT).
  
  
• Take ownership of Business Continuity Management files.
  
  
• Oversee electrical work and site maintenance, ensuring compliance with safety standards.
  
  Skills
  
  
• Previous facilities management experience in a similar role.
  
  
• Strong understanding of site security, health & safety compliance, and contractor management.
  
  
• Ability to manage multiple facilities tasks and prioritise workloads effectively.
  
  
• Knowledge of fire safety regulations, first aid requirements, and risk assessments.
  
  
• Experience liaising with external security, maintenance, and fire safety providers.
  
  
• Excellent organisational and communication skills with strong attention to detail.
