The RoleAs an EUS Hardware Engineer, you will provide Hardware support to a team in Plant Floor & Engineering sites. The Hardware support team is focused on Break/Fix Incident resolution, problem management and process/service improvement. You will work as part of the front-line team dealing with End User and Manufacturing IT Incidents. In this role you will own all IT related issues on behalf of our clients. You will work within a large multi-disciple and multi-site team. Key responsibilities: Understand the Business from a user perspective. Remain visible to customers as the face of IT to listen to their concerns and share as needed.Proactively owns any issues arising and follows through with necessary actions to resolve them.Make customer-oriented decisions.Ensure that problems are logged, investigated, resolved and closed within agreed timescales. Complete data analysis to identify focus points for problem resolution based on customer impacts and documenting RCA’s.Identify and drive through Service Improvements and Incident Reduction.Proven focus on identifying and documenting User and Service Risks and Issues. Co-ordinate incident resolution activity within and across IT teams, to ensure actions are completed within service level agreements.Work collaboratively with a range of people to support the wider business agenda.Always remain focused on the most critical and impactful task to hand using all resources efficiently and effectively.Your ProfileEssential skills/knowledge/experience:Good working knowledge of Client Operating systems and applications, such as MS Windows, Office, Linux.ITIL Foundation certified, Ideally ITIL Incident/Problem Practitioner. Experience working within a large complex IT department/organization.Excellent Working Knowledge of Plant IT/Manufacturing devices, such as Handheld Scanners and barcoding systems; Various Impact, HP Laser, and Thermal Labelling Printers; HHT’s; Industrial PC’s; Dell Desktops and Laptops.Excellent Client Level Networking/TCP Troubleshooting (DHCP, DNS, 802.11x), VPNPractical methodical approach for fault diagnosis and remediation.Good awareness of Occupational Health and H&S Standards, working in a manufacturing environment.Able to work under pressure and to strict SLA requirements.IT Literate with good communication skills.Ability and confidence to work alone when required.Possess a clean valid UK driving license as there will be requests to support nearby Satellite sites.Rewards & BenefitsTCS is consistently voted a Top Employer in the UK and globally.
