Location 

We are proud to offer a flexible approach to the location of our roles, with the majority of our team already enjoying the related benefits. We offer the flexibility to work from home or be based within our Manchester office – or a combination of both, with some travel around the UK, to client sites required. 


Salary and Benefits 

£45K - £60K with an annual discretionary bonus scheme of up to 10% of base salary. We also offer various other supportive benefits, including private healthcare and 34 days holiday allowance.

Requirements 


The scale and quantity of our client projects has increased rapidly, and to support our continued growth, we are seeking to appoint a dynamic and ambitious Engineering Project Manager. 


Our consultancy projects require us to manage the delivery of our services to the highest standards, frequently integrating our delivery with the overall project management of multi £billion programmes.  As the scale and quantity of our client projects has increased, we are seeking to appoint a dynamic and ambitious Project Manager who will support the development and delivery of our project management capability. 


This is an opportunity to play a key role in the development of a fast growing company, with the potential for further rapid personal development and career enhancement based on personal performance.  


You will be an experienced project management practitioner with good working knowledge of the drivers of successful project delivery. This includes the application of information management, document management and quality management processes and systems.  In addition to helping to run the existing initiatives and to provide leadership and support in servicing current clients projects, we are looking for somebody that can actively contribute to the ongoing growth of our business.  


We anticipate that to succeed in the role, the individual will have the following criteria of skills, knowledge, experience and qualities:  


  • Management of complex programs involving the production of technical artefacts for concept and detailed design 
  • 5+ years experience in successful project delivery 
  • Experience in using and taking accountability for project management methodologies 
  • Knowledge of quality management systems and deliverable acceptance management 
  • Strong track record of version control and configuration management  
  • Experience of managing complex contractual relationships and obligations 
  • Experience of leading teams and client relationships with a track record of success  
  • Proactive identification and management of project risks and dependencies 
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; strong analytical skills and problem-solving ability 
  • Strong desire to take responsibility for growing a successful, differentiated consultancy and to contribute to wider Company development  
  • Willing to work on client sites with overnight stays required (travel and expenses paid) 
  • Good working knowledge of Microsoft Project 
  • Full UK driving license; UK passport holder.  


Further desired qualities: 


  • Degree or Master’s in engineering, such as mechanical, materials, aerospace, physics, math’s (applied) or computer science, civil, electrical, chemical or other STEM based degree.  
  • Member of the Association of Project Management or similar organisation. 



Role and activities 


The day to day activities of this role include, but are not limited to: 


  • Project definition and planning 
  • Support for stakeholder engagement and communication 
  • Information Management and Configuration Control 
  • Project Delivery within time, cost and quality envelope. 
  • Development and implementation of Quality Management 
  • Development, implementation and assurance of project management standards and approaches. 
  • Mentoring and coaching in project management good practice 
  • Deliverable management and project assurance 
  • Running workshops and meetings for a range of audiences 
  • Project team coordination and communication 
  • Alignment of Indicatura project execution with programmatic requirements  


Employment details  


The position will require UK security clearance and therefore the candidate is required to be a UK citizen with full right to work in the UK and at least 5 years continuous residence.
