Role: Quality Engineer (Electronics)

Location: Staverton

Contract: Permanent


We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Quality Engineer with an electronic bias to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for managing the quality of externally sourced PCBA`s. When faults are identified in received PCBA, you will lead investigations, determine the root cause, and recommend corrective actions to ensure compliance with relevant standards and


Role responsibilities of a Quality Engineer (Electronics)

  • Lead investigations into non-conformance reports (NCRs) when quality issues or faults are found in received PCBA. Conduct thorough analyses to identify the root cause of defects or failures, using both technical expertise and collaboration with suppliers.
  • Based on the findings from NCR investigations, recommend and implement corrective and preventive actions. Follow up to ensure the actions are executed effectively, preventing future occurrences.
  • Work closely with suppliers and external manufacturers to communicate quality issues, drive improvements, and ensure that corrective actions are implemented effectively. Act as a liaison between internal teams and external partners to resolve issues promptly.
  • Maintain thorough documentation of all investigations, actions taken, and findings. Ensure records are accurate and complete for audits, traceability, and continuous improvement.


An ideal candidate for the Quality Engineer (Electronics) role would have:

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in a electronics role, specifically with PCBAs or in the electronics industry. Experience in quality control, inspections, and troubleshooting of PCBAs is essential.
  • Ability to effectively communicate and collaborate with cross-functional teams, including production, engineering, operations and suppliers, to address product quality issues and drive resolution.
  • Proficient in using electronic diagnostic equipment (e.g., oscilloscopes, multimeters, etc.).
  • Knowledge of PCB design and assembly processes.
  • Familiarity with relevant electronic standards such as IPC-A-610, IPC -A-620, UL standards.
  • Proficiency in documenting quality-related activities, investigations, and outcomes. Ability to prepare clear and concise reports to communicate findings, trends, and improvement recommendations.
