Our Maintenance Repair and Overhaul (MRO) organisation partner with a range of global customers, working closely with major airlines such as British Airways, easyJet, Wizz Air, Iberia, Vueling, Air Canada, Etihad and Qatar.

What will I be doing?

As Distribution Centre Operative, your role will be based in our Stores at Safran.

Key Responsibilities & Duties will include;
Ability to analyse complex aircraft back to birth history to ascerh working and issuing of aircraft parts from a controlled storage location;
Compile build pack paperwork to contain conformity requirements, appropriate quality assurance documentation & full traceability of all parts prior to issuing for Final Inspection and Assembly;
Effective management of incoming new spares maintaining stock levels through effective booking in, loading, checking, cycle counts error management and confirmed picking activity;
Effective issuing of spare parts to maintain productivity in upstream sub-assembly process areas (Bushing);
Control of issuing or storage of previously used “float” spare parts;
Control and effective coordination in the storage and disposal of scrapped parts

Job Requirements

•Experienced in working within a controlled storage location ideally gained in the aerospace or automotive sector
•Excellent communication skills
•Good computer skills
•Good mathematical skills
•Team working ethics
•Self-managing, reliant and organised
•Good problem solving skills
•Highly attuned attention to detail.
•A demonstrated flexible approach with the ability to adapt to different working environments
•Flexibility
•Must be willing to train and take on board new skills
•An understanding of Lean Sigma disciplines and 5s principles
•Involvement in continuous improvement activities to reduce shop processing times and manufacturing hours
•You will be required to work shift rotations comprising of Days, Lates, and when required Weekends
