Delivery Driver
Location: Washington, Tyne and Wear
Vehicle: Long Wheelbase Low Loader
Salary: £28,000 per annum
Hours: Monday to Friday 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM (4:30 PM finish on Fridays)
Job Type: Full-Time, Permanent

Job Overview:
As a delivery driver, you will play a key role in transporting steel tubes around the Tyne and Wear area. You will be responsible for ensuring timely and accurate deliveries to customer sites, maintaining professionalism, and building positive relationships with clients.

What We Offer:
• Salary: £28,000 per annum.
• Hours: Monday to Friday 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM (with early finish on Fridays at 4:30 PM).

Key Responsibilities:
• Safely operate a long wheelbase low loader to deliver steel tubes.
• Deliver to sites in Tyne and Wear.
• Ensure all deliveries are completed within scheduled timeslots.
• Obtain signatures on delivery paperwork to confirm receipt of goods.
• Maintain a professional and polite demeanour when interacting with customers.
• Use the provided satellite navigation system to plan and follow routes efficiently.
• Wear branded clothing (polo shirt and hoody) and ensure a presentable appearance at all times.
• Adhere to road safety rules and ensure compliance with parking regulations. Any parking tickets incurred due to site conditions will be covered; however, penalties from negligence will be the driver’s responsibility.
• Take good care of the vehicle and report any issues promptly.

Requirements:
• Full UK Driving License with no more than 6 penalty points.
• Experience: Previous experience as a delivery driver in London is highly desirable.
• Good Timekeeping: Must be punctual and able to meet delivery schedules.
• Professional Attitude: Presentable and polite, with excellent customer service skills.
• Eligibility: All applicants must hold a British passport.
