Job Title: Data Quality Management Specialist – Propulsion Test Data

Location: Warwickshire

Join a cutting-edge engineering environment focused on developing next-generation electrified propulsion systems across hybrid and fully electric powertrains. As a Data Quality Management Specialist, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring timely, accurate, secure, and accessible test data to support efficient engineering decisions across a broad range of propulsion testing environments.

This role covers a variety of testing areas, including:

  • Electric Machine

  • Electric Drive Unit (EDU)

  • Inverter

  • Battery Cell & Pack

  • Power-in-Loop (PiL)

  • Vehicle-in-Loop (ViL)

    You'll be part of a collaborative team responsible for validating, managing, and visualising test data for use across multiple engineering disciplines.

    Key Responsibilities

  • Ensure the integrity and availability of data from diverse propulsion system test environments.

  • Design and implement data acquisition pipelines from multiple sources across test facilities.

  • Develop and apply tools and techniques for data quality validation and error detection.

  • Manage data storage solutions to guarantee accessibility and security across departments.

  • Support deployment of data visualisation tools to make test data easy to interpret and act upon.

  • Collaborate cross-functionally to establish a common framework for data validation, piping, and analysis.

  • Contribute to the development of a federated data platform for engineering teams.

  • Drive continuous improvement in how test data is collected, stored, and utilised.

    Key Skills and Experience

    Essential:

  • Hands-on experience in data management or validation within testing environments (preferably in automotive, aerospace, or engineering sectors).

  • Strong understanding of data quality principles and validation techniques.

  • Practical experience with data acquisition systems and piping from test environments.

  • Knowledge of data storage architecture and security protocols.

  • Familiarity with data visualisation tools and techniques.

  • Proven ability to work cross-functionally and influence stakeholders.

    Desirable:

  • Experience in electrified propulsion system testing (e.g. battery, inverter, EDU, e-machine).

  • Background working with Power-in-Loop (PiL) or Vehicle-in-Loop (ViL) test beds.

  • Knowledge of cloud-based or federated data platforms.

  • Programming skills in Python or similar for data handling/automation
