Salary: £26,000 – £29,000 per annum

They are currently seeking an experienced Conveyancing Assistant to join their dynamic Residential Property team in Scunthorpe. This is a fantastic opportunity to further your conveyancing career in a busy, well-respected firm where you’ll work alongside some of the region’s best lawyers.


The department handles a wide variety of residential conveyancing matters, including:

Freehold and leasehold sales and purchases


Remortgages
Transfer of equity and equity release
Landlord purchases
Shared ownership
New builds

The Role

Liaising with clients, banks, building societies, and estate agents


Preparing and sending quotes and taking client instructions
Opening and managing client files using our case management system
Drafting contracts and dealing with day-to-day file progressions
Reporting to clients on mortgage offers
Checking search results and raising relevant enquiries
Drafting and preparing search reports
Completing SDLT forms and managing registrations and post-completion duties
Handling document preparation, accounts, letters, invoices, and SDLT submissions
Preparing for and dealing with completions

The Person

Proven experience working as a Conveyancing Assistant


Proactive, client-focused, and highly organised
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Able to manage multiple files under pressure while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail
Strong IT skills and familiarity with conveyancing case management systems
