Job Overview: We are seeking a Composite DesignEngineer to join a leading Motorsport and Formula 1 Manufacturer.The successful candidate will be responsible for designing anddeveloping composite structures and components for variousapplications. This role demands a strong understanding of compositematerials, excellent CAD skills (Catia V5), and the ability to workcollaboratively in a dynamic engineering environment. KeyResponsibilities: - Composite Design and Development: - Design anddevelop composite structures and components using CATIA V5. -Create detailed 3D models, assemblies, and drawings for compositeparts. - Conduct feasibility studies and design reviews to ensureoptimal material utilization and performance. - Perform structuralanalysis and simulations to validate design integrity. - Optimisecomposite designs for weight, strength, and manufacturability. -Collaborate with analysis engineers to interpret results and refinedesigns. - Technical Documentation: - Generate comprehensivetechnical documentation, including design specifications, assemblyinstructions, and test plans. - Maintain accurate records of designiterations, changes, and approvals. - Collaboration and ProjectManagement: - Work closely with cross-functional teams, includingmanufacturing, quality assurance, and project management, to ensureseamless integration of composite designs. - Participate in projectplanning, timeline management, and milestone tracking. - Providetechnical support and guidance to manufacturing teams during theproduction phase. - Continuous Improvement: - Stay updated with thelatest advancements in composite materials and manufacturingtechniques. - Participate in continuous improvement initiatives toenhance design processes and methodologies. Qualifications: -Education: - Bachelor’s degree in Aerospace Engineering, MechanicalEngineering, Materials Science, or a related field. - Master’sdegree or professional certifications in composites design is aplus. - Experience: - Proficiency in using CATIA V5 for compositedesign is essential. - Experience with composite materials,manufacturing processes, and structural analysis.
