  • Provide technical and behaviouralleadership of Propulsion Test Section –Mechanical

Responsible for research, compilation,reviews & feedback of appropriate documentation to the requiredstandardRepresentthe Company internally & externally as required by contractualagreementsResponsible for delivering assignedactivities in line with Company policy, procedures andlegislationIdentifythe required team resource & experience to your LineManagerLead anddevelop the team to achieve the programme requirements &objectives implementing performancemeasuresProvideexpertise, advice and guidance by acting as a Subject Matter Expertfor the AuthorisationGroupDemonstrate an in-depth knowledge ofplanning activitiesPerformthe role of line management to those Engineers identified in yourhierarchy and demonstrate managementbehaviours

Your skills andexperiences:

Essential:

  • Degree/HNC/HND in an Engineeringdiscipline or equivalentexperience

Previous experience of been a key person in theirdepartment beyond their peer group for their technical knowledge& competenceDetailed knowledge ofsafety controls & procedures in a high risk operationalenvironmentKnowledge and understanding of Mechanical Testingand Pressure & Endurance TestingDesirable:

  • Experience with SAP and Teamcenter

Knowledgeand understanding to provide technical guidance to Gas, Steam,Fluid & Fire Fighting SystemsIn-depthunderstanding and experience of delivery, with the ability toachieve keymilestones

This role will provide you with theopportunity to be involved in the design stage of submarinedevelopment and the implementation and realisation of testcommissioning strategy and provide input to support the deliveryphases.
