Electus Recruitment is partnering with a leading engineering and defence client to appoint a Commercial Manager. This is a pivotal role, not focused on legal or procurement, but on driving the commercial success of projects from an operational and business perspective.

This is an exceptional opportunity for a commercially astute professional to influence the financial viability and profitability of complex defence and engineering programmes. You'll be instrumental in shaping commercial strategies, providing expert input into bids and tenders, and ensuring robust commercial governance across projects.

What you'll bring:
Proven Commercial Experience: Demonstrable track record as a Commercial Manager within engineering, defence, aerospace, or similar regulated environments.
Commercial Acumen: Strong understanding of commercial frameworks, pricing models, and effective risk management.
Stakeholder Engagement: Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with finance, delivery teams, and internal stakeholders.
Strategic Input: Ability to provide critical commercial input into bids, tenders, and overall pricing strategies.Key Responsibilities:
Lead the commercial function from a business and operational standpoint.
Oversee and manage commercial aspects of contracts and projects.
Provide commercial input into bids, tenders, and pricing.
Support project teams with commercial governance, risk identification, and mitigation.
Develop and maintain commercial reporting and performance metrics.Why consider this role?
