Based in Houghton le spring our client operate across several industry sectors including Oil & Gas, Renewable Energy, Subsea, Nuclear, Aerospace, Automotive, Power Generation, Medical and Defence.
Job description
The role of CNC Turner Programmer, setter operator will include the following duties:
⦁ Programming, Setting & Operating 2 & 3 axis lathes.
⦁ Be able to use basic inspection equipment.
The ideal candidate will:
⦁ Have proven experience of programming, setting and operating Turning machines using Fanuc controls.
⦁ CAD/CAM Would be beneficial but not essential.
⦁ Be able to demonstrate the ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
⦁ Ideally have an engineering apprenticeship however experience is the overriding factor.
⦁ Overtime/additional hours may be required, depending on the workload of the business.
⦁ Be able to work well on their own as well as part of a team.
⦁ Producing high-quality work to fine tolerances.
⦁ Professional and self-motivated attitude.
⦁ Good organisational & time management skills.
