H&G Engineering have a variety of fantastic new opportunities for an experienced CNC Turner Worker based in Colne near Burnley.

About the Company:

Join a growing and stable team at a well-established company that has been operating for many years. Our client is a manufacturer of high quality machined parts and components for the most demanding industry sectors such as the Aerospace and the Oil & Gas industries.

What We're Looking For:

  • SkilledCNC Turnerrequired with 5 Years Plus experience Aerospace preferred.
  • Able to Program and Set in either Mazatrol or Fanuc.
  • Working from drawings and planning sheets supplied small and medium batch sizes.
  • Ensure machines set in timely fashion and that dimensions and surface finishes are as required.
  • Ability to check own work in conjunction with inspection department.
  • Maintain safe operations by adhering to H&S regulations and procedures ensuring safe environment for yourself and colleagues.
  • Maintain equipment by completing preventive maintenance requirements and highlighting any issues found.
  • Log on and off jobs to allow production progress and efficiency to be monitored.

About you

  • Are you an apprenticeship trainedCNC Turner / Miller
  • Ability to read drawings and manufacture to a very high standard
  • Experience of working to fine tolerances and measurements
  • Programming experience is a massive advantage

Working hours:

Days shifts:7.30am to 5.30pm Mon to Thursday only

Or

Night shifts:7.30pm to 5.30am Mon to Thursday only

Shift premium of £1.33 on top of the basic

The Person:

  • Skilled CNC Turner experience
  • Ability to understand technical drawings
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to work from engineering drawings
  • Looking for a stable, days-only role with opportunities for progression
  • Able to use overhead cranes (desirable)
  • Complete inspection tasks
