We currently have 2 CNC Turning roles available based in Thatcham, Berkshire.

We’re looking for experienced CNC Turners to join one of our most prestigious Motorsport clients, who are currently going through an exciting period of expansion.

You will be responsible for programming, editing and operating a range of Okuma machines to produce transmission system parts to the company’s quality standards.

Our client takes huge pride in the quality of our product, so you’ll be used to working to Quality Control procedures, adhering to, and documenting plans in accordance with these. All components must be packaged correctly to prevent any damage so you must have a good attention to detail and awareness around packaging.

Ideally you will have completed a formal apprenticeship and have general engineering experience including turning and toolmaking. If you have experience within the automotive, aerospace or motorsport industries, this would be a huge advantage.

You’ll be able to understand comprehensive engineering drawings and instructions, be able to visualise finished products and have a good understanding of the properties of the materials we work with. It would be great if you also have CMM and other automated measuring equipment knowledge, but we can train and upskill in this area as required.

Good levels of concentration are a must, as are being able to work both unsupervised and as part of a team. We’re looking for individuals with a self-sufficient attitude, good work ethic and the desire to always improve.

The 2 roles we have available are on nights Monday to Thursday, and we also have the Friday to Sunday weekend shift. 12 hrs shifts - 36 hrs total.
