Job Title:             CNC Turner 2 axis Programmer

Location:             Leighton Buzzard                            

Hours:                  Day shift or Late shift available, under your discretion

Pay Rate:             £30,000 - £37,000 (DOE)

We are currently recruiting for a CNC Turner Programmer for our client in Leighton Buzzard.  They are highly regarded within the Aerospace Industry. Additionally, their skills extend far beyond that, including F1, Oil & Gas, Medical, Hydraulics, Injection Moulding and much more.

This particular company are the market leader for Deep Hole Boring, Deep Hole Drilling, CNC Honing and CNC Turning.

What’s the job?

Also, editing prewritten programs, the full machine setup including material, tooling, speeds, feeds.

Carry out in-process inspection using measuring equipment.

Producing one off, as well as low to medium volume precision parts in a range of hard and soft metals.

Experience of Fanuc controls would be advantageous.

Have a strong working history within the manufacturing industry within a machine shop environment.

Confident in working on parts up to ¢300mm x 3m in length, using lifting equipment provided as some of our work can be large. Hoist training will also be provided.

Who can do this?

Ability to write new CNC programs long hand at the machine with little or no supervision.

Proven time served experience in programming, setting and operating 2 axis turning machines.

Good communication skills.

Solid understanding of interpreting engineering drawings and standards.

Have a hands-on, quality driven, positive, self-motivated manner in order to be able to hit the ground running.

Excellent working knowledge of 2 axis CNC machines, cutting speeds and feeds, geometric tolerances.
