Salary: Up to £35,000 per annum

Hours: 4 day per week + overtime

Job Type: Full-Time, Permanent

We’re proud to be recruiting on behalf of a cutting-edge engineering firm that manufactures precision components for the aerospace, defence, and advanced manufacturing sectors.

Our client offers an exceptional working environment where quality, innovation, and engineering excellence go hand-in-hand. You’ll be working on a range of modern CNC machinery with the chance to upskill in areas such as CAD/CAM, EDM, and surface grinding.

What you’ll be doing:

  • You’ll be setting and operating a range of VMC and 5-axis CNC machines (Fanuc and Heidenhain) and will be involved in first-off inspections, small batch programming, and maintaining component quality.

  • You’ll also operate manual machining equipment across milling, turning, grinding and marking, while working to tight tolerances and ‘right-first-time’ quality standards.

    What we’re looking for:

    You’ll have experience in:

  • CNC setting and operating (Fanuc & Heidenhain controls)

  • OneCNC or EdgeCAM software

  • Reading engineering drawings and geometric tolerancing

  • Using inspection tools to maintain tight quality control

  • Manual and mechanical riveting

  • Bonus if you have:

  • Forklift licence

  • EDM and surface grinding experience

  • Familiarity with CNC turning and Microsoft Office

  • A solid understanding of ISO 9001 and AS9100 quality systems, excellent attention to detail, and a proactive attitude are essential.
