Job description

Recruitment Solutions Workforce are currently recruiting CNC Machinists with experience within the automotive / aerospace / manufacturing sectors to join our client's team.

Attractive rates of pay offered. Increased rates of pay are available for the right candidates depending on skills set /experience.

Skills/Experience:

  • Previous experience of setting CNC milling machines is essential

  • Knowledge of CNC metal cutting and boring

  • Ability to read and understand engineering drawings and work to tight tolerances

  • Ability to problem solves any technical issues arising in machining cells.

  • Previous experience in a manufacturing / aerospace / automotive industry

  • Experience in working in a medium/high volume production environment

  • Understanding of quality systems and completing quality checks/gauging

  • Attention to detail is essential

  • Able to work with minimal supervision.

    Duties:

  • Carry out setting requirements and changeovers for various machining cells including tooling, fixture changes and ensuring raw material availability for the run

  • Ensuring machines are set up efficiently for production and/or product run minimising downtime 1st off checks are completed.

  • Operate CNC milling machines and provide support to others when not setting.

  • Responsible for monitoring product quality via visual inspection and/or via gauge measurement

  • Monitor and record production output vs target and record any downtime and rejects

  • Carry out daily machining checks

  • Always maintaining a safe and clean working environment

  • Participate in continuous improvement activities to improve productivity, quality and machine availability

    Shift Patterns are dependent on demand

    Monday till Friday 37hrs per week -

    The below will be a requirement in busy periods

    6am-2pm

    2pm-10pm

    10pm-6am

    Hourly rate and competency will be assessed at interview stage and can range from £16.80 to £21.06 depending on grade and shift

    Negotiable depending on experience
