Are you an experienced CNC Senior Technician searching for an exciting opportunity? Our client, a leading organisation in the Aerospace industry, is seeking a skilled individual to join their team as a CNC Senior Technician. This is your chance to contribute to the production of high-quality component parts for the Aircraft interiors business.
Responsibilities:
Prepare and prove out basic to complex programmes for Fanuc controlled CNC milling and turning machinery.
Operate machines to produce production runs of parts according to the daily production plan.
Conduct self-inspection of repeat work using the appropriate inspection equipment.
Perform regular Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) on the machinery.
Advise the Team Lead and production engineering team on production issues and defects.
Support the implementation of Continuous Improvement initiatives to enhance production.
Monitor and document operational performance, providing valuable feedback.
Develop and maintain effective working relationships with colleagues and support teams.
Ensure adherence to quality standards and the understanding of the quality management system.
Comply with all company EH&S and compliance guidelines.
Maintain a best-in-class organised working environment by adhering to housekeeping, 5S, and FOD rules.
Required Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
City and Guilds CNC/NC qualifications or a minimum of 5 years relevant experience in CNC machining.
Strong background in the use of various CNC Milling and/or Turning machinery.
Good understanding of Fanuc control systems.
Extensive knowledge of machine tooling and inspection measuring equipment.
Attention to detail and confidence in producing components to a high quality standard.
Ability to read and understand complex engineering drawings and data.
Strong EH&S awareness in a manufacturing environment.
Ability to work unsupervised.
Excellent communication skills (both verbal and written).
Preferred Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
Good metallurgy knowledge.
Familiarity with Microsoft Office software.
Experience in lean manufacturing techniques.
Completion of projects for process improvement.
This role reports to the Team Leader (Late Shift) and requires a travel requirement of 10%. The working hours are flexible, totalling 39 hours per week.
