CNC Setter/Operator Up to £17/hr Shift Allowance Aerospace Engineering!

About the Role CNC Setter/Operator

You'll be setting and operating CNC milling machines, tackling complex aerospace components to tight tolerances. Expect to:

Set and operate multi-axis CNC milling machines (Fanuc, Mazak & Heidenhain controls)
Prove out machining processes and resolve technical issues
Monitor cutting tools, changing and setting them as needed
Read and interpret engineering drawings
Inspect components using micrometers, Vernier calipers & shadow graphs
Keep the workspace tidy (6S standards) and contribute to process improvementsIf you thrive in high-precision engineering, working with hard metals and cutting-edge CNC technology, this is the job for you.

What You Need to Bring

Experience in CNC milling Setting & operating multi-axis CNC machining centres
Expertise in machining aerospace-grade materials Aluminium, titanium & steel
Strong understanding of NC code & ISO Programming
Ability to self-inspect complex components using high-precision measuring tools
Time-served or apprenticeship trained? Even better!
Adaptability & problem-solving skills Because every component counts
