A new and exciting opportunity has arisen for a CNC Miller/Setter to join a UK known Precision Engineering Company in the Sittingbourne area!

With no day ever being the same, the CNC Miller/Setter role offers the opportunity to support the aerospace and motorsport industries through CNC Machining.

Role & Responsibilities:

Ensure all technical and quality specifications are met through conducting detailed checks to ensure consistency and accuracy in production runs.
Prepare the appropriate tooling for each job, ensuring everything is correctly aligned and calibrated to guarantee the CNC machines run smoothly.
Use precision measuring tools such as Vernier callipers, bore micrometres, and other measuring instruments when conducting regular dimensional checks, to ensure the parts meet the specified tolerances.
Ensure that all produced components adhere to regulatory requirements and meet internal quality standards, particularly within the aerospace industry; including proper documentation and traceability for compliance purposes.
Identify opportunities for process improvement, enhancing manufacturing efficiency and product quality by working closely with engineering and quality teams.
Maintain a safe working environment, ensuring compliance with the company's safety policies and procedures, and adhering to all health and safety protocols.

Knowledge, Skills & Experience:

Proven experience as a CNC Setter/Operator, with hands-on experience using multi-axis CNC machines (3, 4, and 5-axis).
To be experienced in setting and operating CNC machines, with a solid background in using Siemens and Heidenhain systems.
Experience working in the aerospace & motorsport sectors is essential, as this provides you with the knowledge necessary to produce high-quality, critical components.
A strong focus on precision and attention to detail is crucial for ensuring high-quality outputs that meet exacting standards.
