Job Title: CMM Operator
Location: Redditch
Shift: Double Days (Week 1: 6:00 AM - 2:00 PM, Week 2: 2:00 PM - 10:45 PM)
Salary: £15 - £17 per hour

Job Overview:

We are currently seeking an experienced CMM Operator to join our precision engineering team in Redditch. This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled individual to work within a leading manufacturing company, ensuring high-quality standards are met through precise measurement and inspection processes.

Key Responsibilities:

• Operating and programming CMM (Coordinate Measuring Machines) to inspect precision components.

• Using PC-DMIS or Mitutoyo software (or similar) for measurement tasks.

• Conducting first-off, in-process, and final inspections to ensure compliance with engineering drawings and specifications.

• Accurately interpreting and working from technical drawings and GD&T standards.

• Maintaining and calibrating inspection equipment to ensure accuracy.

• Generating detailed inspection reports and communicating any non-conformances.

• Collaborating with quality and production teams to continuously improve processes.

Requirements:

• Previous experience as a CMM Operator within an engineering/manufacturing environment.

• Proficiency in PC-DMIS, Mitutoyo MCOSMOS, or similar CMM software.

• Strong understanding of GD&T, engineering drawings, and metrology principles.

• Ability to use handheld measuring equipment such as micrometers, verniers, and height gauges.

• Attention to detail and a proactive approach to problem-solving.

• Experience working within the automotive, aerospace, or precision engineering industries is advantageous.
