Chief Quality Inspector

Holt Engineering are seeking a highly experienced and meticulous Chief Quality Inspector to join our clients’ dynamic team. If you possess a strong background in precision engineering, a deep understanding of aerospace quality standards, and proficiency in Aberlink CMM operation, we want to hear from you!

Chief Quality Inspector Overview:

As our Chief Mechanical Quality Inspector, you will be responsible for ensuring the highest quality standards are met throughout our manufacturing processes, particularly in the production of aerospace components and sheet metal fabrications. You will lead a team of inspectors, oversee inspection procedures, and utilise your expertise with Aberlink CMM to guarantee dimensional accuracy and compliance.

Chief Quality Inspector Responsibilities:

Develop and implement inspection procedures and quality control plans.
Perform detailed inspections of aerospace components and sheet metal fabrications using Aberlink CMM and other precision measuring equipment.
Program and operate Aberlink CMM to perform complex dimensional inspections.
Interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing).
Identify and resolve quality issues, implementing corrective and preventative actions.
Maintain accurate inspection records and documentation.
Ensure compliance with AS9100 and other relevant aerospace quality standards.
Conduct internal audits and participate in external audits.Chief Quality Inspector Requirements:

Extensive experience as a Quality Inspector in the aerospace industry.
Proven proficiency in programming and operating Aberlink CMM.
Strong understanding of aerospace quality standards (AS9100).
Experience with sheet metal fabrication inspection.
Expertise in interpreting engineering drawings and GD&T.
Excellent knowledge of precision measuring equipment and techniques.
Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
