Job Description

Chemical Engineer / Production Engineer – (Worcestershire, UK)
**Security Clearance Required **

Are you a Chemical Engineer with experience working inenergetics(Defence & Aerospace) orPowders(food industry)? We're seeking a hands-on, detail-oriented professional join the team in Worcestershire. If you have a passion for implementing LEAN principles, quality control, APQP and continuous improvement, this could be the perfect opportunity for you!

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assess manufacturing requirements and assets to drive efficiency improvements.

  • Play a key role in improving productivity KPIs.

  • Work closely with the Quality Engineering Team on DFMEA (Design Failure Modes and Effects Analysis), PFMEA (Process Failure Modes and Effects Analysis), and Value Stream Mapping.

  • Apply problem-solving methods such as 8D, Root Cause Analysis, and APQP (Advanced Product Quality Planning).

  • Utilize Lean Manufacturing principles to enhance processes and eliminate waste.

  • Engage in hands-on process development and optimization, adapting to plant equipment and process evolution.

Qualifications

Requirements:

  • Bachelors degree in a relevant field i.e. in Chemical Engineering or Industrial Engineering.
  • Minimum 3 years of Chemical experience(preferably in aerospace, but automotive, rail, marine, medical devices, and energy sectors will be considered).

  • Strong knowledge of Value Stream Mapping

  • Green Belt Certificationwith a strong understanding of Lean Manufacturing principles.

  • Hands-on experience with manufacturing processes (not just digital/software-based roles).

  • Ability to de-risk processes to meet manufacturing standards and business demands.

  • Awareness of ISO standards for Health, Safety & Environment (HSE) and clean room environments.

  • Strong project management and leadership skills (preferred).

  • Must be eligible forUK Security Clearance.
