Role Purpose

Development and implement commodity strategies that leverage GKN Aerospace’s spend to deliver significant annual improvements in cost and service levels. Implementation & Management of corporate contracts at regional & global reach for GKN Aerospace. Coordinating implementation of contracts through the P2P function at sites and manage compliance. Manage cross-functional stakeholder teams to identify business needs and implement contracts that support business requirements.

Key Responsibilities

Function as a trusted business partner supporting Category’s internal customers to fulfil their strategic requirements (cost, performance, quality, sustainability). Accountable for delivery of the targeted savings by business line and/or central function identified to improve bottom line profitability of GKN Aerospace. Develop and implement the strategy for Commodity procurement for Professional Services (to be documented and published to stakeholders). Develop & Lead stakeholder teams based across multiple countries to deliver improvements in contracts for GKN Aerospace. Work with all layers of GKN Aerospace organisation to communicate and gain buy in/ support to commodity strategies. Provide analysis & information to senior management on plans and benefits of actions. Lead key negotiation activities with senior level representatives of suppliers to deliver benefits to business. Development of a consistent approach/strategy to indirect commodities. Establish data/fact driven analysis of potential opportunities for procurement activities. Manage Requests for Proposal / Auction activities within commodities across GKN Aerospace. Monitor compliance of sites to contract and take remedial actions as required. Develop commodity budgets / forecasts & liaise with sites to embed locally. Implement and Manage Standardised Business Review Process within areas of responsibility.

Essentials

Proven ability to steer the long-term direction of Professional Services procurement and category management, aligning initiatives with the firm's strategic goals. Demonstrated knowledge of procurement activities within commodities of responsibility (o.a. finance, legal, auditing, accountancy, engineering consultancy). Demonstrated knowledge of supply markets for relevant commodities. Proven leadership skills; especially influencing skills. Ability to work with senior management as a peer to gain their support for delivery of commodity management strategy and contract implementation. Ability to influence other stakeholders to contribute to the development and execution of commodity strategies. Extensive negotiation experience & skills. Strong communication skills. Good analytical skills. Ability to empower others / lead with integrity, passion and humility.

Desirable

Ability to create and lead remote teams to undertake sourcing / implementation activities; Ability to engage stakeholders across other business lines / functions / regions / sites Project management capabilities  Experience of working within a cross site cross function environment; and  Willingness to challenge the status quo to find benefits / opportunities Aerospace, banking or financial consultancy industry experience preferred
