The Job:
Our well respected client is a specialist provider of outsourced quality/engineering services predominantly within the automotive and aerospace sectors.
Currently operating in over 20 countries worldwide our client is looking to add to their existing UK senior team with a dynamicBusiness Development Managerreporting to the UK Director based in the Midlands.
This position will be focused on increasing sales performance, expanding their customer base within current market sectors as well as the development of new service opportunities to a wider client audience.
With a proven record of business development within the UK aerospace or automotive manufacturing sector, a good working knowledge of both OEM and tier 1&2 operations, our ideal candidate will combine excellent communication skills with a strategic, results driven mindset.
Hybrid role with travel to customer locations an integral part of the role.
Responsibilities:
- Support and create business development strategies, pipelines and targets in a alignment with key business strategies.
- Drive business growth supported by the UK operations team.
- Take ownership of customer tender and RFQ requirements.
- Creation of customer proposal documents and resulting commercial discussions and negotiations.
- CRM management and development with day to day hands on customer contacts.
- Analyse market trends/competitor bench marking and discover new opportunities/services to drive business growth. Liaise with our clients worldwide network to to maximise wider geographical opportunities.
- Explore cross and upselling opportunities with both existing clients and the management team.
- Supporting customer satisfaction continuous improvement activities.
Requirements:
- Midlands based.
- Proven work experiences in a sales management role.
- A strong knowledge and experience of working within the aerospace/automotive OEM and supply chain.
- Ability to measure and analyse key performance indicators
- Understanding of manufacturer and resourcing operations.
- Excellent communication, networking and negotiation skills.
- Strong organisational skills with a problem solving attitude.
