Job description

BSW – Trafford:

Prospero Teaching is looking for passionate, proactive and enthusiastic teaching assistants to support the learning of pupils in one of our inspirational Alternative Provision settings in Trafford (M16).


This is a fantastic opportunity to build positive relationships with pupils and have a long-term, positive impact on their lives, progress and development. You will be supporting KS3 and KS4 pupils with SEMH.


The Role:

Supporting pupils 1-1 and in small groups


Building rapport and positive relationships with pupils to help them engage with their learning and make progress both academically and as young people
Collaborating with other staff members and external agencies to best support the pupils development
Assisting with both learning and vocational activities, on and off site

Position Details:

Location: Trafford area


Position: Behaviour Support
Type of Work: Temporary
Full time/Part time: Full time only
Hours: 8:30am-4:30pm, Mon-Fri
Minimum Rate of Pay: £105 per day, depending on experience
Start date: ASAP
End date: Long-Term, Ongoing

Experience, Training & Qualifications:

A Supporting Teaching and Learning or Childcare based Qualification is highly desired


Experience working within a SEMH provision or AP
Resilient, proactive and positive nature
Up to date Safeguarding training within the last year (desired but training can be provided)

TO BE ELIGIBLE FOR THIS ROLE THROUGH PROSPERO TEACHING, YOU MUST:

Hold Right to Work in the UK


Hold an enhanced child barred list DBS certificate registered with the online update service or be willing to process a new application
Provide two professional references
