Job Role:


The Contractor Engineer will support the Aircraft Systems Design Team within our client's Airborne ISR business, working on aircraft projects under civil and military regulatory environments. The successful candidate will report to the System Engineering team.


The role involves collating, acquiring, and logging design data and product conformity information to facilitate testing and certification of aircraft modifications, including system configuration, weight analysis, flammability testing, and certification documentation.


This position is suitable for an aircraft Avionic and/or Electrical Systems Engineer experienced in integrating and certifying aircraft avionic & electrical systems in aerospace. Attention to detail is essential. The work can be performed remotely or on-site with flexible hours.


Key Responsibilities


  • Coordinate with modification Design Engineers to prepare modification documentation.
  • Gather and reference design data using Windchill PDM and network files.
  • Create certification evidence forms and letters for submission to Certification Validation Engineers.
  • Develop test documentation and analysis reports.
  • Prepare modification control documentation.


Key Attributes:


  • Experience as an Avionic/Electrical Systems Engineer in aircraft design, integration, and certification within aerospace organizations.
  • Knowledge of airworthiness regulations such as FAA or EASA standards (e.g., FAR 23, FAR 25, CS 23, CS 25).
  • Experience working within multidisciplinary aerospace engineering teams.
  • UK National, no dual nationality, with current SC security clearance or eligible for transfer.
  • Knowledge of military aircraft modification and certification processes (e.g., DAOS, DEF-STAN).
  • Proficiency with electrical wiring design tools and creating wiring diagrams (e.g., AutoCAD).
