The opportunity

Our Finance Optimisation team within our Financial Accounting Advisory Services (FAAS) practice supports CFO and finance functions in navigating through and solving complex Accounting, Finance & Reporting challenges through better use of policies, processes, data and technology- enabling Finance functions to deliver value to the business.

Your responsibilities

We are recruiting for a Senior Manager within the team who leads on client relationships, leads diverse teams and is confident in navigating unstructured, changing dynamics and relishes the use of innovative new solutions and technologies in solving problems.

Specific responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Lead end-to-end delivery of projects (physical and virtual), assessing engagement risks and opportunities, driving the right outcomes for our clients Lead and manage client relationships and interactions, enabling and influencing strategic and operational decisions Lead on firm-wide campaigns and go-to-market initiatives including business development and pursuit activities for new and existing clients, developing the delivery of high-quality proposals Develop and present exceptional reports & presentations (PowerPoint, Word, etc.) for project deliverables, capturing problem statements and solutions/ recommendations for our clients Lead on internal financial, quality and risk management on client projects Lead your own and FAAS team's development of functional and technical skills by establishing a culture of highest performing teams and inclusive behaviours Create an environment that encourages and drives innovation based on experience with the client, market, service line, functional group and EY

To qualify for the role, you must have:
An accountancy qualification (, ACA, CPA, ACCA, CIMA) or equivalent Financial Reporting and/or an Assurance/audit background Extensive experience working in assurance, consulting or transformational roles within Big 4, Consulting firms, and/or industry Experience in one or more of the below: Accounting, Finance and Reporting related processes gained through Big 4, Consulting or industry environment ,: Record-to-Report (R2R), Financial & Non-financial Reporting Financial Close, Consolidation and Reporting Experience in Business and Finance Transformation & Change programmes; managing senior stakeholders across Finance and the business, identifying improvement/optimisation opportunities, enabling and influencing client decision-making Process, Risks and Controls design, implementation and testing experience over Financial, Operational and Reporting processes using leading practice frameworks (, COSO, SOx) Data analytics, including utilisation of technology to be able to automate extraction, preparation and presentation of information to present to senior stakeholders, including use of data warehousing, ETL and visualisation solutions Finance systems application design, build and implementation , ERP (, SAP, Oracle), EPM (, SAC, CCH Tagetik) and/or other reporting automation solutions (, BlackLine)

Other relevant experience may include whilst not limited to :
Accounting and Regulatory change (, Corporate Reform, SOx) Experience of Finance Data and architecture including general ledger, subledgers, master data structures, data objects etc. Experience of wider finance related processes including elements within Order-to-Cash (O2C), Procure-to-Pay (P2P) and Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) Experience of non-financial reporting, including ESG reporting and relevant regulatory frameworks Internal finance function experience in Financial Reporting roles
