Assurance Engineer

About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Assurance Engineer to join our team on an 11-month assignment. This role is ideal for a detail-oriented professional with a strong background in systems engineering and functional safety, particularly within regulated environments such as aerospace or space sectors.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain safety and assurance cases at the technical systems level.
  
  
• Conduct quality assurance activities in line with regulatory standards.
  
  
• Analyse system designs and elicit functional requirements.
  
  
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure compliance with safety and assurance standards.
  
  
• Provide technical input and assurance oversight for software and electronic hardware design and development.
  
  
• Communicate effectively with stakeholders, producing clear and concise documentation.
  
  
• Support audits, reviews, and assessments related to system safety and assurance.
  
  Required Background
  
  
• Systems Engineering experience, ideally with a focus on communication networks (tactical or civilian).
  
  
• Strong functional safety knowledge at the technical systems level.
  
  
• Prior experience in aerospace, space, or other regulated industries is highly desirable.
  
  Essential Skills & Experience
  
  
• Proven experience writing safety/assurance cases.
  
  
• Familiarity with software and electronic hardware design and assurance processes.
  
  
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex system designs.
  
  
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  
  
• Strong stakeholder management and interpersonal skills.
  
  
• High attention to detail and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
  
  Desirable Qualifications
