Assistant Principal Design Engineer (H/F)

As an Assistant Principal Design Engineer, you will be required to propose and agree Landing Gear Design conceptual studies, propose efficient solutions to design problems to achieve business objectives. Ensure technical quality of Work package activities, act as a Design Technical focal and mentor, represent SLS at customer meetings, check and approve technical deliverables and support the creation, progression and usage of new design methods & tools.

SAFRAN LANDING SYSTEMS UK LTD recherche:

You should be knowledgeable in your field, both internally and externally, with good engineering analysis skills and understanding of Safran Landing Gear design methods. You must be able to understand the formal and informal structures of the organisation, including your own area, SLS and partner organisations. You need to be able to operate with limited supervision in a complex environment.

  1. Minimum of HNC/HND level, but ideally BSc/MSc, in an engineering discipline
  2. Experience of working with recognised design software tools, preferably CATIA
  3. Ability to propose efficient pragmatic solutions to engineering problems
  4. Good knowledge of design and manufacturing processes, preferably related to the aerospace industry
  5. Fully conversant with traditional and computerised design methods
  6. Previous aerospace experience
  7. GD&T experience is desirable
  8. Good knowledge of aerospace materials and manufacturing processes
  9. Strong communication skills
