Assembly Operative – Aerospace Innovation

Location: Denham

Salary: £29,000 per year + opportunity to earn overtime 

Join a company where your work directly contributes to saving lives. We’re a world leader in aerospace safety systems, and we’re looking for skilled Assembly Operatives to help build the next generation of ejection seats—used by military aircrews across the globe.

This is more than just assembly work. Every component you fit, inspect, or test plays a role in a system designed to protect lives in the most critical moments. You’ll be part of a team known for precision, innovation, and technical excellence in one of the most respected aerospace engineering environments in the UK.

As an Assembly Operative:

You’ll work hands-on in our Fitting Shop, playing a key role in building life-saving equipment. Your responsibilities will include:

Assembling mechanical components to tight tolerances using kit-based systems

Reading and working from detailed engineering drawings

Inspecting and testing components using specialist tools and gauges

Preparing components for aluminium oxide blasting, bonding, and curing

Carrying out quality assurance checks at every stage

What the ideal Assembly Operative will bring to the role: 

We’re looking for people with a keen eye for detail and a commitment to quality. You should have:

Experience in mechanical assembly and inspection

Ability to read and understand engineering drawings

Familiarity with inspection equipment and basic manufacturing processes

Awareness of health & safety, COSHH, and quality standards (QAI)

SAP experience (an advantage but not essential)

A positive, proactive approach and the ability to work well in a team

Base salary of £27,000 – £28,000

Up to £8,000 in overtime potential annually

9% employer pension contribution (non-contributory)
