Our Hemel office is in the middle of an extensive upgrade, rolling out Oracle 23AI with an Apex front end. Growing the team, we now need expert Oracle Developers with Forms, reports. SQL and Apex experience, to work on this high-reaching project team with a proven track record of successful delivery in the Defence sector.

This is a key role in the modernisation and convergence of logistics business processes for our Defence clients, where we are responsible for all aspects of the software development lifecycle.

Role is Hybrid Fixed 2 days per week in Hemel Hempstead.

You do need to be eligible for SC Clearance for this role.

What you'll be doing:

  • Generate prototypes in consultation with business consultants using Oracle SQL, PL-SQL, Oracle APEX, Oracle Forms and Reports.
  • Crafting routines using PL/SQL.
  • Developing user interface screens using Oracle APEX, Oracle Forms and Reports.
  • Develop REST APIs using Java/PL-SQL.
  • Take part in low level application design workshops and contribute to database design activities.
  • Preparing and reviewing design specifications.
  • Construct code based on the Functional and Design Specification.
  • Perform defect analysis and bug fixing.
  • Identify, document, supervise technical issues and risks.

What youll bring:

  • Experience in Oracle products with solid experience in medium to complex application software development.
  • Excellent knowledge of core Oracle technologies and tools, such as SQL, PL/SQL, APEX, Oracle 12c Forms and reports, and Oracle 19c Database.
  • Good knowledge of other related tools and technologies, such as JavaScript, REST API, JSON, XML, HTML 5, CSS.
  • Knowledge of Serena Dimensions, GIT lab or any equivalent tool.

It would be great if you had:

  • Oracle WebLogic Server 12c, Cognos Analytics, Oracle Identity and Access Management, Jasper Reports, Oracle Analytics, BI Publisher
