We are looking for an enthusiastic individual to join the Pricing and Analytics team at AXA XL working in our London office.You would be supporting actuaries in the UK Europe and US primarily producing actuarial analyses and tools to be used by the underwriters pricing Specialty business across the Group.This role will involve working with underwriters worldwide information technology development teams and senior actuarial team members.The role will initially focus on Aerospace products but may incorporate work on other Specialty products.

What will your essential responsibilities include

  • Support strategic initiatives to improve the loss ratio by developing new tools for improved analysis and portfolio management
  • Building pricing models for new products or where the tools do not currently exist and fostering their use
  • Maintaining and streamlining existing actuarial pricing tools including working with senior team members
  • Management of data collection processes from pricing tools and analysis of that data including
  • regular reports on rate change and profitability metrics
  • Ad hoc projects and analysis to further our understanding of the correlation between risk factors and potential for loss
  • Work with the Pricing Data team at AXA XL to improve the quality of data used in pricing analyses
  • Troubleshooting any user problems with the pricing tools
  • Training and guidance to the underwriters on using the pricing tools
  • Case pricing of large risks

You will report to an Actuary Aerospace Insurance Pricing.
