Job Description

What will you be doing? a0;

As an Electronics Engineer,you will join our a0;team to support our activities within theNaval a0;sector. At ALTEN, youll be at the forefront of innovation, designing firmware for advanced systems in the defence and aerospace sectors. You'll work on exciting projects such as developing FPGA-based solutions for cutting-edge sonar systems, secure communication devices, and high-performance radar technologies. These mission-critical products require precision, reliability, and adherence to industry-leading safety standards, giving you the chance to make a tangible impact on future defence capabilities.

Your main responsibilities will be: a0;

  • Design, develop, and testFPGA-based firmware solutions, leveraging expertise inXilinx FPGA chipsets.
  • Independently executeend-to-end firmware development projectswithin tight timelines.
  • Ensure compliance withSIL 2 safety standardsfor functional safety-critical systems.
  • Perform detailed debugging and validation of FPGA designs to meet performance and reliability requirements.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to integrate firmware with hardware and software solutions.
  • Work within security clearance protocols to ensure the integrity and confidentiality of sensitive projects.

Qualifications

Experience, skills and qualifications required: a0;

  • 5+ years of experiencein firmware engineering, with a strong focus onFPGA design and development.
  • Proficiency withXilinx FPGA toolchains(e.g., Vivado) and related technologies.
  • Ability to work independently on complex firmware projects, from concept to completion.
  • Familiarity withSIL 2 safety standardsand their application in firmware development (preferred).
  • SC clearanceor the ability to becomeSC cleared.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail, with experience in debugging and testing.
